Re-opening of our Visitor Centre

Our visitor centre was re-opened to the public by Lady Mayor Councillor Lynda Scanlan on Tuesday, March 12th 2019.

We also unveiled our latest artefact, the Sunderland-built Carica Milica ships bell. It was recovered from the sea bed during a geophysical survey by Galloper Offshore Wind Farm, who engaged Wessex Archaeology to clean and preserve the bell for display.

Conserve and Craft Weekend

We went along to the Conserve and Craft Weekend, hosting 120 school children through our visitor's centre on Friday, July 5th. We also attended the public event on Saturday, July 6th 2019.

Riverside Festival

We attended the Sunderland Riverside Festival on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st 2019.
