{"id":314,"date":"2020-07-01T11:58:55","date_gmt":"2020-07-01T10:58:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/smhtemp.krismiddleton.co.uk\/?page_id=314"},"modified":"2021-06-30T21:07:00","modified_gmt":"2021-06-30T20:07:00","slug":"support-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.sunderlandmaritimeheritage.org.uk\/?page_id=314","title":{"rendered":"Support Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 1258px; width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #c8c8ff; border-style: solid; border-color: #c8c8ff;\" border=\"2px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 500px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 99.5259%; border-color: #000096; background-color: #c8c8ff; border-style: none; height: 500px;\" colspan=\"3\">\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Our objective is to promote Sunderland\u2019s extensive maritime history through our museum and information centre and also to preserve vanishing skills in our workshops.\u00a0 We are the only place now boat building in Sunderland and Sunderland\u2019s only Maritime heritage organisation.<br \/><br \/>We are totally self-funding so donating to us allows you to make a real contribution to this objective and will help keep us open to carry on working with our community. <br \/><br \/><strong>Without\u00a0 donations <\/strong>:-<br \/>We are not be able to offer local volunteers and people returning to the workplace, the opportunity to contribute their time in a constructive way.<br \/>We are not be able to continue our work with schoolchildren and college students. <br \/>Nor those with Learning Difficulties, Dementia and those on the Autistic spectrum \u2013 whom we provide with activities and regular routine.<br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>We have come so far in the last 20 years, steadily building the organisation to the standard we know and enjoy today and earning a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sunderlandmaritimeheritage.org.uk\/?page_id=776\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sunderlandmaritimeheritage.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/index.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"107\" height=\"126\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sunderlandmaritimeheritage.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/index.jpg 107w, https:\/\/www.sunderlandmaritimeheritage.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/index-93x110.jpg 93w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 107px) 100vw, 107px\" \/><\/a>Queens Award for Voluntary Service in June 2020 made us all very proud of our achievements and certainly made all our efforts so worthwhile.<\/p>\n<p>We are all part time volunteers here at the centre \u2013 we pay no salaries or expenses \u2013 and by necessity, we run a very tight ship, financially.
